Between remasters and remakes, studios have two weapons of choice to give a second wind to their games from the past. It was during an interview published on the official Ubisoft website that CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed the arrival of remakes of Assassin’s Creed games.

Officially, the next title in the license to see the light of day will be Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It will be released on November 15th. We also know that a Hexe opus is currently in development. The latter will offer a different experience. But Ubisoft will not stop there. Indeed, its CEO wants to indicate to fans of the saga that new parts will be released more regularly. He also specifies that the goal will be to avoid offering the same experience every year.

Taking for granted that “fans may be excited about certain remakes,” he claims that this “will allow them to revisit some of the games they created and modernize them.” He considers that some of the universes of the Assassin’s Creed games are still extremely rich. The question that now arises is simple: which ones will be affected? To this, we perhaps have the beginnings of an answer linked to a rumor released in the middle of last year. She wanted a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag to see the light of day. At the time, the firm neither confirmed nor denied the rumor. With this new declaration from Yves Guillemot, there is hope.
