Amazon's new Echo Show features a giant 21-inch screen

Just over a month before Christmas, Amazon is unveiling two new models of Echo Show, its range of connected screens for the home. The 15-inch version has been revised and improved, and a brand new 21-inch model has appeared.

Having a screen in front of you to take a look at upcoming appointments, the weather, the temperature in the house and the various connected devices is the promise of the range Echo Show d’Amazon. The latter today welcomes a new version of the 15-inch model, as well as a 21-inch model.

Screens for everything

The manufacturer has particularly reworked the quality of the speakers, which on the 15-inch model now offers twice as much bass and adapts the sound output to the topography of the room. The camera for video calls also improves with more than twice the field of view and 65% greater zoom than the previous Echo Show. As a bonus, the camera “follows” the user, like Apple’s “centered frame” function. A noise reduction system appears during calls.

The 21-inch version offers the same characteristics, with a larger screen obviously (but still in 1080p, like the 15-inch). Both devices act as home automation hubs with Matter compatibility and the ability to connect directly to Wi-Fi, Thread, and Zigbee devices. It is therefore possible to control connected devices in the home directly without using an external hub. Wi-Fi 6E is also included.

These screens can be placed on supports, or hung on the wall to become the nerve center of the house. Apart from their home automation functions, they can also of course be transformed into entertainment screens with Prime Video (they integrate Fire functions), or even into giant photo frames. These devices are priced at €329.99 (15 inches) and €439.99 (21 inches).
