Major manufacturers are actively preparing for the arrival of Windows 11 24H2. Intel and AMD unveil their latest driver updates to ensure optimal compatibility with new features.
Intel targets Wi-Fi 7
Intel recently announced the release of new Wireless Wi-Fi 23.60.1 and Wireless Bluetooth 23.60.0 drivers, highlighting their anticipated compatibility with Wi-Fi 7 supported by Windows 11 24H2. The focus is on supporting 802.11be EHT, known asExtremely High Throughput, for increased performance.
These updates aim to ensure the stability and performance of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections during the launch of Windows 11 24H2 scheduled for next September or October. However, it is crucial to note that Wi-Fi 7 will only be fully usable with this specific update.
To check your PC’s compatibility, simply run the following command in Terminal.
netsh wlan show drivers

Intel drivers target a wide range of solutions, including the Wi-Fi 7 BE202 and BE200 series, as well as existing Wi-Fi 6E AX and Wireless-AC models. Additionally, these pilots include specific regulatory updates for the Chinese and South Korean markets, also strengthening security.

AMD and GPUs
For its part, AMD is releasing the Software Adrenalin 24.6.1 drivers, which are WHQL certified by Microsoft. They are aimed at various versions of Windows, including 24H2. These drivers are intended for Radeon graphics cards, including the RX 7900/7800/7700/7600, RX 6900/6800/6700/6600/6500/6400 series, as well as the corresponding mobile variants.
