Apple has just presented its new podcast « My Divo », which is part of his “Originals” productions. He is hosted by renowned journalist Maria Garciawho has received critical acclaim, notably for her podcast “Anything for Selena.”
Regarding his new podcast, which must be broadcast on July 1he gives back tribute to legendary Mexican artist Juan Gabriel, who has sold more than 100 million albums. The singer was nicknamed “El Divo de Juárez”, hence the name “My Divo”. The host Maria Garcia comes from the same town as the singer, which is why she chose to dedicate the podcast to him.

In its press release Apple explains: “ “My Divo” explores the personal life and public persona of Juan Gabriel, uncovering important new details about his life, including how his sexuality was perceived and the impact it had on his legacy. » The Apple firm also took the opportunity to announce that it was now reviewing the way in which it distributes this type of content, with great novelty.
The first bilingual podcast, for Apple TV+ subscribers
Until now, the episodes offered were only available in one language. With My Divo however, users will be able to choose between English and Spanish.
In order to inaugurate this very first bilingual podcast, Apple is making a major change, which allows Apple TV+ subscribers to enjoy the entire podcast in preview. Apple’s announcement:
“My Divo” is the first Apple Original Podcast to be part of the Apple TV+ connected subscription, giving subscribers early access to all eight episodes as they are released.
How it works ?
La production Originals « My Divo » sera available July 1 in the Apple Podcast app. Starting this date, Apple TV+ subscribers will be able to enjoy all 8 episodes in full, as will Apple Music and Apple News subscribers. Subscribers to Apple Podcast partner services are also included.
On the side of non-subscribersthey are not left at half-mast by Apple. From July 1, they will be entitled to two episodes, then to a weekly episode.
