Vivo presents the V40 Pro sold by Amazon in countries like India as its “Zeiss Portrait Master” for just INR 46,990 (~$556) today (November 17, 2024), as it has a total of 4 50MP cameras: the sensors behind its three rear lenses plus the selfie camera.

The same goes for its successor, according to the usual leaker Digital Chat Station. It will have the same Sony IMX921 main rear camera as the V40 Pro, although its telephoto lens is likely to upgrade to a 3X zoom periscope lens based on the IMX882 (like that of the Realme 13 Pro).

The “V50 Pro” (which appears in this leak as the S20 Proc as it might be known in the Chinese market) would also retain its predecessor’s ultra-wide-angle camera. It is also expected to feature a 6.67-inch 1.5K display that finally abandons the jagged curves of the S19/V40 and driven by the latest, but still powerful, generation of the Latest generation Dimensity 9300+ control unit.

On the other hand, the alleged upcoming smartphone is also said to be equipped with a 5,500mAh 5,500mAh battery. This spec could help the S Series stay as slim as Vivo apparently wants, but could put its latest flagship at risk of being overtaken by competitors with capabilities as a selling point.
