No, it’s not a bad joke, or even a provocation on the part of Rockstar Games: a new version of Grand Theft Auto V is about to land on PC media. Years after its release, the studio has not finished resting on its goose that lays golden eggs! On the one hand, if the detractors of GTA V will fall on it, others will be very happy to finally taste certain features of the next-gen version on PC.

Long before its official reveal, Grand Theft Auto 6 was already and undeniably the most anticipated title of the year 2025. However, since the presentation of the very first trailer for the game, in December 2023, there has been total radio silence around the successor to GTA 5. It was enough for this omerta to worry the players, and even more so when it came time to tear out one more page from the calendar… For its part, the American publisher Take-Two was constantly repeating that the release was not going to change, but the community could not get this doubt out of its head.
Fortunately, little by little, the most impatient players ended up understanding the fact that Rockstar Games still needed time to present the title again, and that Take-Two Interactive was not leading them on. In this regard, the analysis of the financial results of the American publisher was held a few days ago and, in addition to the study of the figures for the second quarter of the fiscal year, Take-Two Interactive has stated, in black and white, that the release of GTA 6 is still scheduled for fall 2025. Come on, there’s only one more year to wait!

A few days ago, we learned that the anger of the PCist community would diminish with the arrival of the next-gen version of GTA 5a little over a year and a half after the launch of this new version. What annoyed PC players at the time was to realize that they were the only ones not able to benefit from the technical improvements and additional content of this new generation version of the hit GTA V, including support for HDR and Ray-tracing ! As a cherry on the cake, Rockstar Games explained that the new features introduced in GTA Online will also be there. No precise date at the moment but the appointment is set for early 2025!
