Tarisland, the new MMORPG from Locojoy and Tencent, is presented as the mobile WoW. But can we really compare this game to the benchmark of the genre? It’s still early to tell, but it’s promising.
In recent years, mobile MMORPGs have multiplied, but none has yet managed to dethrone World of Warcraft. Tarisland, the new game from Locojoy and Tencent, intends to change that.
Presented as the “ WoW mobile“, this multiplatform MMO is eagerly awaited by players.
The servers will be open tomorrow, on iPhone, iPad, Android and PC, but you can already pre-download the game. Don’t hesitate: there are several GB to download.
At first glance, Tarisland is a rather classic and pretty multiplatform MMO. It offers nine classes, with two specialization talents to learn and eight Ultimates.

Added to this are numerous PvE and progression activities, such as exploration, fishing, amusement parks and professions to learn. Arena PvP will also be available at launch. In short, Tarisland seems to have all the ingredients to please MMORPG fans.
A seasonal model for Tarisland
Tarisland will follow a seasonal model, with new content added each season. Players can expect new maps, more story content, new dungeons, additional game modes and more features.
Season 0, titled “ Mystery of the Hollows ”, will begin with five dungeons for 5 people and eight raid bosses for 10 players to challenge. Dungeons will have different difficulty levels, which can be useful with a cross-platform MMO and different control schemes.
