“From the fields to the plate, let’s get out of our contradictions.” This is the common thread of the next edition of the National Conference on Agriculture and Food, organized by West France. The event will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the Glaz Arena in Cesson-Sévigné (Ille-et-Vilaine), near Rennes.

This eighth edition will allow us to address numerous questions that agitate and motivate stakeholders in the agricultural, food and distribution sectors, while the sector is at the heart of tomorrow’s challenges: ecological transition, food sovereignty, societal expectations. , generational renewal and protection of farmers’ income…

Many issues

These issues will be addressed through round tables, debates, conferences, a masterclass with students, etc. Among the themes discussed during this day: can the common agricultural policy (CAP) reconcile food sovereignty and adaptation to climate change? ; Tomorrow, how can we offer quality food accessible to all? ; What fair remuneration for our farmers?

The questions of artificial intelligence in agriculture, solutions to do without pesticides, land or even the place of agriculture in collective catering, will also be put on the table.

To raise these subjects and debate, West France brings together experts, sector players, politicians, business leaders, personalities from the fields of agriculture, food and distribution.
