According to the leaked spec sheet, the Galaxy Z Flip6 will feature a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display displaying a Full HD+ resolution of 1080×2640 pixels. This screen will benefit from an adaptive refresh rate that can climb up to 120 Hz, guaranteeing optimal fluidity in all situations. In addition, the smartphone will also have a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover display with a definition of 720 x 748 pixels. This secondary screen will allow you to quickly check your notifications and access certain features without having to unfold the device.
Cutting-edge processing power and a versatile photo module
To power the Galaxy Z Flip6, Samsung has opted for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a high-end processor engraved in 4nm which will offer top-notch performance while controlling its energy consumption. This is the same chipset found in the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The smartphone will be offered in two configurations: 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage, and 8 GB RAM with 512 GB storage space. Enough to meet the needs of the most demanding users in terms of multitasking and content storage.
On the photo side, the Galaxy Z Flip6 will rely on a dual back sensor as we can see in the screenshot below. The 50-megapixel main module will be optically stabilized (OIS) to capture sharp shots in all conditions. It will be supported by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle which will widen the field of vision. On the front, a 10-megapixel camera will be integrated for taking selfies and making video calls. The main sensor will be able to film up to 4K at 60 frames per second, enough to capture fluid and detailed sequences.
One UI 6.1.1 and Android 14 on the program
The Galaxy Z Flip6 will run under the latest version of Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 interface, an overlay based on Android 14. We will benefit from the latest software innovations from Google and optimizations made by Samsung to make the most of the folding format including Galaxy AI features based on artificial intelligence for searches, photo editing, video enhancement as well as translation possibilities already present on the Galaxy S24 and certain previous models. Finally, the Galaxy Z Flip6 will not skimp on connectivity with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, tri-band Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, as well as support for the main satellite geolocation systems. The presence of an NFC chip will allow contactless payments to be made.
