Garmin is enriching its music streaming ecosystem. Owners of the brand’s smartwatches can now access the long-requested YouTube Music app.

Key Features

Connected watch users Garmin have a new reason to rejoice. The American giant has just integrated the application YouTube Music to its ecosystem, in response to the pressing demands of its community of followers.

From now on, the music streaming service joins the restricted circle of major platforms already available, like Spotify, Deezer And Amazon Music.

And YouTube Music doesn’t come empty-handed! The service brings in its luggage a gargantuan catalog of more than 100 million titles. A treasure that Premium subscribers will even be able to enrich with exclusive content such as lives or remixes.

In terms of user experience, YouTube Music takes care of the details with fine-tuned thematic playlists, but also personalized selections refined according to individual tastes. Without forgetting the essentials musical mixes optimized for physical effort.

Library and offline mode

Just like on other platforms, YouTube Music centralizes content in a single library, making it much easier to access songs liked and added by the user.

Better yet, subscribers to YouTube Music or YouTube Premium benefit from a major advantage: the ability to download their favorite playlists and podcasts directly on their Garmin watch.

An important feature that allows them to enjoy their music library wherever they are, without having to stay connected to a smartphone. An asset to use during training sessions or on the go.

Compatible models

The application is already accessible on many recent models of the brand, including the Forerunner 255 Music, Fenix 7, Instinct 2 and Venu 3. The full list of supported watches can be found in the app store Garmin Connect IQ.

A downside, however, for those who have not taken the step of the Premium subscription: listening to YouTube Music on their watch will be punctuated by advertisements. A small inconvenience to take into account for users who favor the free experience.
