A few weeks before the supposed launch of Samsung’s Galaxy Ring, Amazfit is launching its Helio Ring.

If Samsung launched the hostilities of connected rings at the beginning of the year, by presenting the Galaxy Ring, the South Korean manufacturer has not yet revealed neither the price, nor its release date, and even less its main features.

This leaves the field open for competition, including Amazfit, which designs health and sports-oriented connected accessories. The manufacturer announces the immediate launch of its Helio Ring, at 299.99 euros.

For this price, you will have a water-resistant (10 ATM) titanium alloy. In fact, the Helio Ring allows several things. First, it tracks its user’s heart rate and can also take SpO2 (pulsed oxygen saturation) and stress readings. Sleep tracking is also included.

Amazfit highlights a product that is “more compact and more pleasant to wear during the night”, compared to a connected watch. All the data collected is sent to an application that simply maps it so that you can see if you and your body are doing well.

You can synchronize data with several third-party applications like Strava, Google Fit and Apple Health.

The ring comes with a proprietary charger that allows for fast charging. We then place the 2.6mm thick and 4 grams ring around a ring which recharges it wirelessly. Amazfit specifies that the autonomy can go up to 4 days, although it mainly communicates on a possible combo with one of its connected watches – the first to be worn at night, the second during the day, during your moments of activities for example.

Several sizes are available or will be available in the coming weeks.
