The case surrounding Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas appears to be reaching its conclusion.

According to what the journalist and informant of the site reports The Athletic Pierre LeBrun, a team whose identity is not known, reportedly has an offer on the table that would meet virtually all of the ‘Canes’ requirements.

LeBrun adds that if the deal goes through, it will involve a pick of 1is round in the repechage which will take place on Friday.

Virtually every National Hockey League (NHL) team, including the Montreal Canadiens, has shown interest in the Czech forward.

Even if we don’t name the team that made the offer to the Hurricanes, LeBrun adds that the Buffalo Sabers are one of the most serious teams in the Necas derby.

If the latter is not traded over the weekend, general manager Eric Tulsky indicates that it is still possible that the team retains the services of the 25-year-old player for another year.

Necas, who will be a restricted free agent on 1is next July, collected 53 points in 77 games during the 2023-2024 season. He added nine points, including four goals, in 11 playoff games.
