If it is simple on PC via Steam to get a refund for your games, provided you request it quickly and indicate the reason, it’s a completely different story on consoles. But one creator has his own policy for all players looking to get their money back: you will have to beat him in PvP!

Cross swords

It is in an X post (formerly Twitter) that Redigit – the creator of Terraria – presented the new refund policy of his studio, Re-Logic. He explains that he agrees to return their money to the players, without asking questions, all at only one condition: defeat him in 1v1 on his own game. And suffice to say that it is far from an easy task, since the developer is extremely strong! Chippy Gaming, one of Terraria’s most popular content creators and also a close friend of Redigit, discovered this the hard way.

In response to the creator’s initial post, Chippy Gaming challenges Redigit to a duel. Then begins a joust whose outcome must decide “who will become the new CEO of Re-Logic”. After a brief exchange of spear strikes, the content creator is defeated with relative ease by the developer still standing, with just under seven hearts remaining. A performance which quickly calmed the players’ enthusiasm, seeing one of the people who knew the title best being swept away with a simple back of the hand. So arm yourself with courage if you still want to try the experience!

Hegemony

Now over 13 years old, Terraria has established itself as one of the leaders of the independent scene and is today almost as well known as the title to which it is regularly compared: Minecraft. A popularity which even allowed the title to break a record a little less than two years ago. Indeed, this became, in August 2022, the game with more than 1 million maximum positive evaluations on Steam. Today, the game still matters 97.68% positive reviews in total, or nearly 1,264,093 out of nearly 1,294,971 reviews.

More than 13 years later, Terraria is still in the top 50 of the most played titles on the online platform every day, even ahead of strong titles like Diablo 4, Palworld or the very popular Final Fantasy 14 Online. A presence which is not ready to end and which is now available on PC, mobile as well as on all the latest generation consoles.
