The Halloween edition of the Gamers assembly, organized by the FuturoLan association, launched on Saturday November 9, 2024 and continues this Sunday, November 10 until 5 p.m., at La Hune in Saint-Benoît.
For this major video game event, nearly 320 gamers from the four corners of France are present, headsets on their heads, eyes glued to their screens. In the room bathed in semi-darkness, clamors and cries of joy arise from time to time. We welcome the fatal blow, we also relax, as the tension is so intense during the games.
We are mainly there to have a good time and experience a shared adventure. But why not, in the end, glean part of the 4,000 euros from cash prize (1) put into play. “This edition is a great success with 70 more players than in 2023. With 320 gamers, we are reaching the maximum capacity of the room,” specifies Marion Strobel, general delegate of the organizing association.
Support the animal cause
Yohan and Charles have their eyes glued to their screens. They are among the 144 free players present. “We are coming from Toulouse. This is our first participation in this big network gaming event. Here, everything is well set up. It’s really very professional. » In Toulouse, the two gamers are members of a video game association which raises funds to support animal causes. “We broadcast our arena games live. Depending on our results, the people who support us make donations which we donate to various associations. »
Also note the presence in the hall of a stand from the South Central Vienna Rural Mission. The objective is to allow young rural people, between 16 and 25 years old, to highlight the projects they carry out and to discover digital professions.
