Over the years, the No Man's Sky video game has been transformed, and it took time for the Hello Games teams to truly realize their ambitions and honor the promises made to players. Since the time of launch, the relationship has evolved significantly between the studio and the community. Always on the lookout for requests and ready to make amends, Hello Games has just announced lots of surprises including a highly anticipated feature!

The updates are endless on No Man's Sky, the result is spectacular

Is it still possible to improve No Man’s Sky ? This is the eternal question that comes up every time the Hello Games studio teams unveil a new update for this (now) exceptional game, mixing space exploration and survival. Since the setbacks linked to its launch, No Man’s Sky has greatly improved, to the point that developers are now able to answer “yes” to the question raised previously. Despite the myriad of improvements made to the game, Hello Games has just revealed an addition that has got players excited, and not just a little!

Thursday, it was the director of Hello Games, Sean Murray, who himself shared excellent news, namely that No Man’s Sky was not going to welcome just one update… but three (bringing the total to six for this year alone)! In his message, Sean Murray made a point of reminding us that this was “ an enormous amount of work for their small team (…) requiring several years », while referring to the official site to find out all the details of this update. After the sinister and strange atmosphere of the Halloween expedition, the creators of No Man’s Sky return with a more down-to-earth functionality and, above all, extremely requested by the community.

No Man's Sky announces a highly requested feature and reveals other surprises

Among this triple update, we can cite the introduction of an expedition dedicated to the universe of Mass Effect, a saga of which the Hello Games teams are fans. Already introduced in 2021, the ship makes an appearance again for two weeks (as part of the annual N7 celebration) through a revamped version of the mission proposed a few years earlier. By completing it, players will be able to add the ship to their collection. The second vanity that the teams worked on was the introduction of an improved version of No Man’s Sky for the PS5 Pro (and PSVR 2).

If all this is pleasing, it is the third key point of this triple update which has made the community exultant: the introduction… of Cross-play and Cross-save ! Starting now, players can connect their multiple accounts at this address to be part of the first burst of explorers to benefit from this feature. It is only over the weeks that all players will be able to access it. Ultimately, therefore, they will be able to alternate between numerous platforms since Hello Games deploys this functionality for PC, PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PSVR 1 and 2 and PCVR. No Man’s Sky really never ceases to surprise us!
