Motorola appears to be focusing on its foldable Android clamshell product Razr. However, development of a device that could one day supplant them continues in the background.

The latest rollable smartphone from the Lenovo brand presents a potentially strategic improvement: dual fingerprint readers. They are placed so that there is one on each side when the device is in “roll-down” mode, so the user can reach the sensor from the front or back.

Motorola says users will want to unlock the device even when the screen is not deployed, for added security and convenience.
