After several months of use, your smartphone may be less efficient.
Some Android devices can also run slowly.
Here is a simple procedure allowing your phone to regain its former performance.
No, you're not going crazy… After just a few months of use, your smartphone already seems less efficient and that's normal. In fact, every day, your device stores thousands of additional information and this can saturate its RAM (RAM or Random Access Memory). Expressed in gigabytes (GB), RAM allows your phone to run multiple applications simultaneously. If it is saturated, the smartphone may therefore experience some particularly unpleasant slowness in use.

What apps are slowing down your smartphone?
Just like on a computer, there are very simple methods to increase the speed of your smartphone. It is advisable to delete applications using too much memory, especially if you do not use them regularly. This is for example the case of antivirus applications, known to slow down phones because of the excessive number of resources they use. The latest generation of Android smartphones are already equipped with built-in security measures such as Google Play Protect. It is therefore better to do the latest system updates of the device rather than downloading additional applications with very little added value.
Often, apps pre-installed by manufacturers – those that are already on your phone when you first use it – can also be too resource intensive. Unfortunately, these tools cannot always be uninstalled. However, you can deactivate them by going to your phone's settings then in the “Applications” and “Installed applications” section. Here you will be able to select any app available on your phone and tap the “Disable” button.
Smartphone: how to clear your cache?
In addition to the RAM used to run them, applications can accumulate cache data. When collected in too large quantities, they can also slow down the responsiveness and smoothness of your device. To resolve this problem, we still advise you to go to the settings and click on the “Applications” button. Now all you have to do is select an application then click on “Storage” and “Clear cache”.
