Oppo has just presented the Find X8 and the Find X8 Probut only in China. As a reminder, the two new high-end smartphones were presented at a launch event alongside a whole series of other Oppo devices, including the Pad 3 Pro. Subsequently, sister company OnePlus revealed the successor to last year’s device, last year’s OnePlus 12 ($749.99 currently at Amazon), which was available for import shortly after its official release in China.
Similarly, Oppo’s latest two Find X smartphones can also be imported from China at competitive prices. As always, Giztop and TradingShenzhen are among the first third parties to offer the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro to people outside of China. Please note that importing a device from either of these companies is subject to certain restrictions.
For example, they will use Chinese software that does not offer feature parity with the global version of ColorOS that Oppo also distributes. Therefore, Android Auto will not work, which may also extend to some contactless banking and payment apps. That being said, even the Chinese versions of ColorOS offer multilingual support. Likewise, Oppo includes Google mobile services and the Google Play Store. So most other apps should work, including Google’s suite of apps.
For now, Giztop only sells the Find X8 Pro, which starts at $899 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The device can also be configured with three other memory combinations, culminating in a 16GB RAM and 1TB variant that retails for $1,099. Ultimately, TradingShenzhen is more expensive across the entire market when it comes to the Find X8 Pro. However, it sells the Find X8, which starts at around $725.
