In partnership with the CCAS of Vitrolles and the financial assistance of the Bouches-du-Rhône funders’ conference, 1001 vies habitat offers senior tenants of Logis Méditerranée, but also interested caregivers and seniors of the municipality, to participate in the conferences organized by the Brain Up association. Created in 2009, the latter has become an expert in supporting prevention approaches and local actions as close as possible to the territories until the deployment of national programs.
These two-hour conferences allow you to better understand the issues of health prevention and provide advice at certain key moments in life. Each theme is approached in an educational manner by including, depending on the subject, games, quizzes or practical scenarios for better understanding.
A first session took place in September addressing the theme “how to stay healthy in retirement” and on October 24, the second was held at the Mandela space on “the fight against the risk of scams and scams”, which around thirty people attended. The speaker from the Brain Up association tried to explain as clearly as possible the small problems that can be encountered in everyday life and how to protect yourself from the risks linked to card transactions. blue and scams.
The differences between deposits and deposits, the constraints of online purchases as well as amicable and legal appeals by email, telephone or SMS were also discussed, since it is not uncommon to find yourself stuck, or even entangled, in lengthy procedures. and tedious.
Prevention, the best production
If administrative or legal remedies exist, the best protection remains prevention. This workshop aimed to provide advice, rules and tips to protect yourself from these everyday situations. It was not a question of providing personalized legal advice on current cases, but of sharing life situations and everyone’s best practices.
The third session, “it’s good for morale”, is announced at the same place on November 21 at 2:30 p.m., and the following on December 19 at 10 a.m., on “dietary balance and the pleasure of eating”.
