Nintendo Music is a brand new music streaming service dedicated to the manufacturer's video games.
For several years, the world of video games has understood that fans can also be passionate about music. An excellent way to diversify video game income with albums, vinyls and concerts.
Everyone in video games? No ! A die-hard Japanese video game developer didn't want money from his fans and did everything to prevent them from listening to the music from his games.
We are of course talking about Nintendo, absent from all music streaming platforms, and often last when it comes to distributing music outside of its games.
Fortunately, things are changing, and to everyone's surprise, Nintendo is launching into music streaming on its own.
An application for Nintendo subscribers
It is therefore still not the announcement of a Nintendo Switch 2, but the Japanese manufacturer has published, to everyone's surprise, a Nintendo Music application for Android and iPhone.

No Mario soundtrack in Spotify or Apple Music at the moment. You will have to go through the Nintendo application.
Obviously, music is not free. Access to the application is reserved for Nintendo Online subscribers.
For the rest you will find the soundtracks of the company's best games with Pokémon Scarlet/Purpleof Animal Crossing New Horizonsor even Metroid Prime. True fans will know how to turn to the unmissable, like the main theme of the Wii Shop.
An experience dedicated to players
Sarcastic remarks aside about making a dedicated application, we must admit that Nintendo has thought of functions for gamers.
For example, the application includes anti-spoiler protection. It allows you to add a game to a blacklist to prevent its songs from appearing in playlists. A way to let yourself discover the music through the game in the first place.
Likewise, the music is sorted by songs and albums, but also by game with a construction in terms of game design. For example, for The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Timeyou can specifically explore the list of dungeon songs, battle songs or ocarina songs.
You can also search by character: Yoshi, Ganon or even Kéké Laglisse.
Finally, there is the “song extension” function, the same one that has pushed you into the arms of certain 30 to 60 minute videos on YouTube. Same thing here, you will be able to extend a “repetitive” theme for up to 60 minutes to enjoy it throughout your day.
