MSI Unveils PRO MP252 E2 and PRO MP271A E2 Monitors with 120Hz Refresh Rate

MSI revealed two monitors at Computex 2024, alongside the high-end MPG 341CQPX display. These are upgraded versions of the existing MSI PRO MP252 and MSI PRO MP271A MSI PRO MP252 E2 and MSI PRO MP271A E2 monitors. The main difference is a 120Hz refresh rate on both models, instead of 100Hz. Otherwise, they look more or less identical to their last-gen counterparts.

The MSI PRO MP252 E2 features a 24.5-inch IPS display with FHD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 1ms response time, 100% sRGB color gamut coverage, and maximum brightness of 300 nits. For I/O, you get an HDMI 2.0b port, a DP 1.4 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The larger MSI PRO MP271A E2 has a 27-inch panel with the same specs, but it covers 108% of the sRGB color space and offers a VGA port in addition to HDMI 2.0b and DP 1.4.

Both monitors have a pair of built-in speakers (2 Watts). MSI claims to have reduced the size of the bottom bezel by 37% on the MSI PRO MP252 E2 and MSI PRO MP271A E2. They feature a phone holder on the base that can easily accommodate most smartphones. The company will announce pricing and availability of both monitors at a later date.
