End clap for the iPhone 5S, considered one of the best to come out of Apple’s factories. The firm had however pampered it for a long time, even providing it with a security update in January 2023 (ok with iOS 12.5.7, the only compatible system).

Bye

Counting from this day, the small but sturdy iPhone 5S is now obsolete! Apple had already modified its dedicated page. Seventh generation of iPhone, it was presented on September 10, 2013 and put on the market on September 20, revealing a new A7 dual-core 64-bit chip. It also introduces a revised and improved Home button with the arrival of Touch ID, after many rumors. Conceived by Jony Iveit was also the first iPhone entirely supervised by Tim Cook after the departure of Steve Jobs.

But the iPhone 5S won’t go away alone. Indeed, the sixth-generation iPod touch and the 21.5-inch iMac with a 4K Retina display (late 2015) are now classified as products vintage.

Remember that the firm regularly updates this page based on the passage of time. After 5 years, the products are vintage. Once products pass the seven-year mark, they are considered obsolete. These models can still benefit from after-sales service, within the limits of available parts. This service can be carried out both in Apple Stores and approved service providers.
