Appearing once again during Sony’s latest State of Play, the Silent Hill remake was once again criticized by players who saw these latest images.
The Silent Hill 2 remake is still divisive
The remake of Silent Hill 2 is it doomed to fail the public? After being criticized by the community when the first gameplay images were revealed, the app is once again under fire as new in-game footage was shared during Sony’s latest State of Play. While the gameplay, judged in particular to be too nervous and too far from the original experience, had initially been targeted, this time it is the graphic rendering which is called into question.
Here, it is the design of Angela Orosco which divides while the graphic redesign of the game would not pay homage to the original appearance of this character. That being said, whether with its gameplay or its graphics, it seems clear that this remake divides.
A remake doomed to fail?
Given the reactions of players, it’s difficult not to be pessimistic about the fate awaiting this Silent Hill 2 Remake. The project is nevertheless laudable. Silent Hill 2 is still considered today as a masterpiece of video game horror, a software whose aura is so great that it unfortunately weighs heavily on this remake. The expectations placed on him are immense, especially given the success of remakes of the same ilk such as those of the Resident Evil saga. Regardless, it also seems absurd to totally condemn this game after just a few trailers. Hoping that Bloober Team manages to best capture the essence of the original title in order to discover or rediscover James’ story to as many people as possible. Answer on October 8 on PS5 and PC.
