With Elastic Interface N3X, 3D printing comes to your shorts

CyTech Srl Società Benefit announces that N3XTM, the innovative 3D printing technology for shorts, is now protected by a patent.

Result of several years of study, research and prototyping, during which CyTech Srl has acquired a multitude of information concerning not only 3D printing but also the application of this technology to inserts (chamois) and, more precisely, to the bottoms made by 3D printing with specific technical characteristics, N3XTM represents a new frontier for the world of cycling clothing and an innovative and unique technical solution of its kind.

This technology, entirely produced using 3D printing processes of which CyTech Srl is the exclusive owner, required and still requires considerable investments from the Italian company.

N3XTM has generated a series of measures aimed at protecting intellectual property, such as duly protected secret information, registered models and industrial invention patents, which represent a guarantee of uniqueness and exclusivity that only CyTech is able to offer.

This is why the San Vendemiano company has implemented rigorous market controls, making it possible to intercept possible counterfeits and, of course, to protect its rights at the same time.

N3XTM: WHAT IS IT?

Elastic Interface N3XTM is an innovative 3D printed padding, designed to enhance the characteristics of traditional polyurethane foams and push them beyond their own limits, delivering an unprecedented experience in comfort and performance.

The N3XTM insert produced by Elastic Interface, CyTech’s premium brand, offers temperature control in the delicate seat region, ergonomic support, durability and longevity of protection, ability of the fabric to breathe, minimal bulk, customization and above all zero waste. Indeed, thanks to 3D printing, Elastic Interface has absolute control over the structure of the material. The fully open cell weave of the 3D printed padding improves airflow passage and heat and moisture dispersion, reducing drying times and optimizing skin temperature management.

Such a range of innovations, technologies and knowledge is now accessible both to Elastic Interface customers – namely cycling clothing manufacturers who can count on exclusive technology intended to improve and enhance their clothing – and to end consumers.

Cyclists around the world can now benefit from the patent and in-depth studies behind N3XTM, for the benefit of their comfort in the saddle and their performance.

Indeed, this unique process for manufacturing protections for shorts was recently chosen by two leading brands in the world of cycling: GoreWear, whose Ultimate BibShort product won the 2023 ISPO Award, and X-Bionic, which recently launched the COREFUSION Compression bib shorts.

For Elastic Interface, which produced the bottoms of their shorts, this is an achievement of which the company is proud, but also a new starting point: in fact, new collaborations with other prestigious brands of cycling clothing will be announced soon.
