Tissot, Oris and Bremont unveil their new diving watches for an in-depth summer!

As summer approaches, let’s dive into the latest dive watches of the season. With their robustness and air of adventure, these instrumental-looking timepieces are a sensation on the wrist, both on land and underwater. Focus on the new products from Tissot, Oris and Bremont, between technical performance and distinctive design.

Tissot Seastar Powermatic 80 40mm: the in-house caliber featured

Until now, ETA’s Powermatic 80 automatic caliber was reserved for Seastar models in generous 46 mm cases and certain special editions in 40 mm. At the start of summer, Tissot launches five new water-resistant models to 300 meters and integrates this modern mechanical movement as standard in the 40 mm collection.

There Seastar Powermatic 80 40mm is available in steel with turquoise or anthracite dial, in two-tone with partially yellow gold PVD-treated case, and in full black PVD with blue or anthracite dial. All feature a vertically brushed, gradient dial with a date window at 3 o’clock.

As its name suggests, the Powermatic 80 caliber beats at the heart of this watch. This self-winding workhorse offers 80 hours of power reserve and a titanium-based Nivachron hairspring, resistant to magnetic fields. The sapphire crystal caseback highlights its careful finishing.

The Tissot Seastar Powermatic 80 40mm is available on various rubber or steel bracelets. From €680.

Oris Aquis Date 41.5mm: extra fresh taste

Since its launch a few years ago, the Aquis lineOris has become essential in the world of diving watches. Combining functionality, aesthetics and reliable mechanics, it now has 66 references. A new generation was revealed at the last Watches and Wonders, with updates to the caseband, lugs and crown. Bezel and dial have also been subtly retouched.

To expand on this redesigned line, Oris presents the Aquis Date 41.5mm Water-Melon. These two new models integrate all the ergonomic, aesthetic and technical refinements, with the addition of “watermelon” dials in refreshing green or sunny red. For the rest, they take up the codes of the Aquis Date 41.5 mm collection: three-link steel case and bracelet with a slender profile, unidirectional rotating bezel with ceramic insert, screw-down crown with protections, luminescent details on the dial, transparent and impressive back waterproof to 300 meters. The Oris 733 automatic caliber, based on the Sellita SW200-1, beats under the hood.

Bremont Supermarine 300m: a new profile, between robustness and comfort

The new generation of the Supermarine diver collection from the British brand Bremont also caused a sensation at the last Watches and Wonders. On the program, the Supermarine 300m, with a case with a thinner and more slender profile in 904L steel, for maximum strength and comfort. This new symmetrical silhouette incorporates crown guards and bezel guards for convenient handling and improved shock resistance.

The notched anodized aluminum bezel features trapezoidal hour markers that extend across the dial, forming a marine reticle that draws the eye toward the center of this vintage royal blue or British green gradient dial. The sword hands are illuminated with Superluminova, like the applied indexes and the arrow at 12 o’clock.

These new Supermarines adopt a unique bracelet in 904L steel. Fluid and qualitative, it alternates polished and satin-finished links with an undulating silhouette. The watch is also available on a new military-inspired chevron rubber strap or a lifestyle strap in aged brown topstitched leather.

The caseback, engraved with a map of the oceans, houses an automatic movement with a 50-hour power reserve.

Price of the new Bremont Supermarine 300m: $3,650is around €3,300.
