How to use iMessage on Windows?

It’s pretty easy to set up your iPhone to send and receive iMessage on your Mac thanks to the integrated ecosystem Apple created between iOS and macOS. Synchronization does not require the installation of a third-party application. Just follow a few simple steps to adjust some settings in iPhone Settings.

Doing the same thing on a Windows computer doesn’t have to be any more complicated. To do this, you will need to use the application called Phone Link (also called Connected Mobile or Link with Windows), which will allow you to synchronize the contacts and messages from your iPhone.

This is an official application developed by Microsoft that comes pre-installed on your PC (Windows 10-11), provided you are using the latest version of Windows (if you don’t have it, update your machine) , but you can also download it manually.

On your iPhone, you will also need to download the companion application developed by Microsoft called Link to Windows. It is available for free on the App Store.

In addition to the ability to manage your iMessage messaging (notifications, replies, etc.), the application also allows you to receive and make voice phone calls (via Bluetooth), read your notifications and much more. Only downside: the iOS version of Link with Windows does not yet allow access to photos.

Note also that this dual PC/mobile application system does not only work with Apple, but also allows you to connect Android devices to your Windows PC to retrieve your notifications, make calls, send messages, manage your photos, etc.

Connected mobile – Link with Windows (Your phone)

Synchronize your Android phone or iPhone with your computer running Windows 10/11! You will be able to access your mobile applications, respond to text messages and receive notifications without taking your eyes off your screen.
