In a video posted on YouTube, a campsite manager is surprised to have to accommodate two men in a mobile home. On the web, many Internet users deplore a form of homophobia. The manager pleads for a “misunderstanding”.

The video was published on the YouTube platform three days ago and already has almost 3 million views: the YouTuber Amixen wanted to test campsites that were particularly poorly rated on the web in front of the cameras. The thirty-year-old – accompanied by one of his sidekicks, Thomas Deseur – therefore went to a Vendée campsite rated “one star” by Google. The two young men and their cameraman therefore presented themselves at the reception of the establishment and were welcomed by the manager, Jacqueline*. A lunar conversation then follows, during which the manager of the tourist site is surprised to see that the two men want to sleep together in a mobile home: “A couple, I call that a woman and a man,” says the interested party.

Comments which did not fail to shock the community of fans of the YouTuber, who indulged in a wave of comments that were, to say the least, virulent against the manager. Jacqueline says she is shocked. Questioned by our colleagues from West she defends herself against any homophobia and pleads for a “misunderstanding”. “I was simply surprised to see three men arrive at reception,” says the latter, explaining that it was a woman who was responsible for booking on behalf of the YouTubers. There have been homosexual couples in this campsite in thirty-six years, believe me, and I’ve never had a problem with it.”

The manager claims to have written to Amixem to ask it to remove the video from the YouTube platform. “I can’t sleep at night. I care about this campsite, it’s my baby,” the latter punctuates.
