Sucker Punch recently announced Ghost of Yotei, the highly anticipated sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. As fans prepare for a new samurai adventure, an unusual story linked to a giant crash file on PC has made the community smile.

A new revenge, 300 years after Jin

Ghost of Tsushima players still have great adventures ahead of them. This is notably with the announcement of Ghost of Yotei, a sequel to the franchise by Sucker Punch. From what we know, we will follow Maleduring “the revenge of the oppressed”. At that time, during the first fifty years of Tokugawa rule, 61 feudal lords were dispossessed of their domains for breaking the rules of the shogunate, which made nearly 150,000 samurai into ronins.

We still know little about the angle that the studio will adopt, and whether Atsu is one of the daughters of one of these lords, but we are still back on a quest for revenge, almost 300 years after that of Jin Sakai. As for the release date, we must count on 2025without further details. In the meantime, you still have time to rediscover Ghost of Tsushima, even if the experience hides a few surprises.

An extraordinary file

The YouTuber UFD Tech recently shared a surprising story on his channel about a gamer who played Ghost of Tsushima on PC. This game, which normally occupies approximately 75 GB of storagecaused an unexpected problem: the player’s hard drive suddenly filled up. After doing some research, the cause was identified as a huge text file of over 280 GBa crash file generated by the game. However, the player encountered no apparent problem during his gaming session. UFD Tech had fun highlighting the absurdity of the situation, explaining that a text file of this size would contain approximately 46.5 trillion words. Faced with this mystery, he ironically concluded: “Some things just don’t make sense. Just play it on PlayStation.”

Although this story makes you smile, fans of the former PlayStation exclusive have reason to rejoice. Indeed, Sony recently announced Ghost of Yotei, the long-awaited successor to Ghost of Tsushima, the successful samurai adventure developed by Sucker Punch. This announcement arouses the enthusiasm of the community, which impatiently awaits this new adventure in the universe of samurai. Maybe with this new game, Sucker Punch will fix this quirk. However, it is also possible that the mentioned player’s hardware is just more outdated than they think and that the developers have nothing to be ashamed of.
