“A place where science becomes a real spectacle, combining sensory immersion and surprising discoveries.” This is the journey that promises the future immersive museum of Lyon dedicated to science, which will open its doors on October 18, 2024 in the heart of the Presqu’île, rue Thomassin.
Called “Science Experiments”, this course with its rather crazy concept has already won over the city of Paris. Here’s what to expect.
750 m2 and 6 thematic spaces
Visitors will be able to dive into a universe of 750 m2 and cross six thematic spaces which will allow them to experience extraordinary adventures, “from the confines of the universe to the heart of the Earth and to the abyssal depths”:
- La zone expo & ISS
- The Space room: a space odyssey
- The Abyss room: deep in the oceans
- The Volcano room: journey to the center of the Earth
- The Brain room: the secrets of the human mind
- The experiment room
With technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, video mapping and multisensory presentations, Science Expériences wants to “shake up the codes of educational entertainment. » It will thus be possible to launch a rocket, find yourself among the stars or inside a spaceship…
Every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during school holidays
To create this trail, a team of museographers specializing in science naturally accompanied the project.
In Lyon, it will be accessible every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during school holidays and will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays the rest of the year.
The price will be €22 for an adult, €14 for a child aged 3 to 12 and €19 for students, people with reduced mobility, retirees, teachers, journalists and the unemployed. A family pack at €60 (two adults and two children) will also be offered.
