An intervention by firefighters has been underway since 2h20, in the town of SAINT – TROPEZ, more than 300 meters from the shore.
Situation update at 8 a.m.
The serious victims were transported to various Hospital Centers: H 35a on CH Fréjus, F 38a on CH Gassin and H 52a on CH Draguignan.
The slightly injured victims (H 24a + H 20a + F 20a) were transported to the Gassin Health Center. The search for the missing person was suspended at 6 a.m. by CROSS-MED, which is supervising the operation. At their request, they resumed at 7:30 a.m. The firefighters made a team of 5 SAL (Light Autonomous Divers) available to coordinate the operation to participate in the search operations. They are embarked on an SNSM boat. Emergency services respond to an accident involving 1 boat with 7 people on board. A major emergency system was deployed and coordinated by CROSS MED. The current report shows 3 seriously injured, 3 lightly injured and 1 person wanted.
The emergency system includes:
5 ambulances
1 nursing vehicle
1 team specialized in water rescue
1 team specialized in underwater rescue
3 command vehicles
Or 26 Var firefighters.
The system is completed by:
2 stars of the SNSM
1 French Navy helicopter.
