If the presence of a patent is not confirmation of the release of the final product, we at least know that Apple is considering (or has considered) the creation of a “Flip” iPhone.

We now know thanks to the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office), the American Patent and Trademark Office, that the apple brand had filed, in October, a patent concerning a hinge for a device folding and horizontal. This suggests the release of a “Flip” iPhone, as explained by the Patently Apple site, which is specifically devoted to Apple patents.

Let’s not forget that the arrival of a foldable product in the Cupertino company’s product range is a bit of a challenge, since rumors have continued to spread in an almost cyclical manner for several years. But then, does this patent confirm that a foldable iPhone is in preparation? Let’s stay careful.

Because even though this is probably the most convincing proof yet of the creation of a foldable device at Apple, we must not forget that most patents do not come to fruition. We must also take into account that among the patent drawings, we find one which is not quite that of a traditional foldable device, but rather that of an iPhone which could fold in both directions.
