In the touchscreen market, alongside the very expensive high-end tablets offered by Samsung or the mid-range models designed by Xiaomi, there is now the OnePlus Pad 2, a recent arrival in the catalog of the Chinese brand. And, this model really aroused our curiosity with its rather high-end technical sheet and its very practical AI functionalities. His other asset? Its price, which is falling below 500 euros at the moment.

The strong points of the OnePlus Pad 2

  • A 12.4-inch 3K panel that can go up to 144 Hz
  • Many AI options
  • A 9,510 mAh battery

Initially priced at 549 euros, the OnePlus Pad 2 tablet is now available on sale for 499 euros on the OnePlus website. You can even lower the bill even more if you opt to trade in an old product.

If, subsequently, the offer mentioned in this article is no longer available, please take a look below to find other offers for the OnePlus Pad 2. The table updates automatically.

A screen that promises great fluidity

The OnePlus Pad 2 is a tablet with a particularly refined design, with fairly thin edges and a ratio screen-to-body by 84.9%. The chassis is made of anodized aluminum, with a Nimbus Gray finish by sandblasting and anodizing, which gives a surface that is very pleasant to the touch and does not take fingerprints.

On the screen side, we are entitled to a 12.4-inch 3K LCD panel (3,000 x 2,120 pixels) which offers good readability. However, if you use the tablet in bright sunlight, the advertised maximum brightness of 900 nits on a glossy panel may not be enough to properly read the tablet’s information. The screen is also compatible with Dolby Vision. Let’s not forget the variable refresh rate from 30 Hz to 144 Hz, which should provide excellent fluidity. The OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus promises a feeling close to writing on paper.

Practical AI in everyday life

In terms of performance, the OnePlus Pad 2 contains a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, accompanied by an Adreno 750 GPU at 903 MHz, as well as 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM supplemented by 256 GB of storage. On paper, this configuration should ensure high-level performance for multitasking and resource-intensive applications, such as demanding 3D games. But what allows the OnePlus Pad 2 to really stand out from the competition is its suite of AI tools which greatly simplify various everyday tasks. AI Summary, for example, produces summaries of long documents, while AI Writer generates content from images and text. AI Eraser allows you to remove unwanted objects in photos. Note that most of the tools in this Toolbox will only be available by the end of the year.

Finally, regarding autonomy, the brand promises 43 days of standby time with a 9,510 mAh battery and has not forgotten 67 W SUPERVOOC fast charging. Enough, according to OnePlus, to go from 0% to 100% of battery in 81 minutes.
