From the best wireless headphones on the market to the best cheap wireless headphones, it becomes difficult to list all the brands positioned in this segment. Apple, Samsung, Sony, Huawei, Bose, Sennheiser, Denon, Google and Nothing… The list is very long and continues to grow in 2024.

This audio device today has a central place in our daily lives. It can be used for sports, on public transport or at home. However, wireless headphones have this little weakness that headphones have less: small battery problems that arise over time, pushing us to renew our equipment.

How often do you change your wireless headphones?

If solutions emerge, like the Fairphone Fairbuds – eco-responsible and repairable headphones –, most models remain difficult to repair at the slightest technical glitch. The desire to change headphones may then arise.

And it is in this context that the writing of Frandroid then asked you the following question: how often do you change your wireless headphones? A little over 1,800 people took the time to respond. Among them, 37% say they have never changed their wireless headphones. Is this the result of great care taken with the devices or a little bit of luck? Maybe both.

Regardless, we are happy to see thata prioriyou are mostly satisfied with your wireless headphones and we salute you for your very responsible attitude towards the environment.

Note that 18% of people surveyed change their wireless headphones every 3 years. For 17% of participants, the renewal rate is shorter and increases to two years. 12% of you only change them every 4 years.

Finally, a small handful of people (8%) have a faster pace by changing headphones every year. Also note that 8% of you simply answered that they did not have wireless headphones, probably preferring headphones or wired headphones. Or maybe you just don’t need or want audio accessories.
