On Saturday, September 28, at the Voie des Mots bookstore, Hélène Marche, a novelist, will present her 8 animal tales to children in the morning. These are bilingual children’s books, meaning that the translation is on the left pages of the book opposite the French text on the right: 5 books in English-French, one Spanish-French and 2 in Occitan-French. She will read one or two excerpts from the last tale in English-French “My name is Yepa, the polar bear” and will present some photos-slides of polar bears on their way of life, physical characteristics that allow them to survive temperatures of -60°.

From , of Italian origin, Hélène Marche spent her childhood in a family atmosphere, full of love and surrounded by animals. Before continuing her studies, with her Baccalaureate in her pocket, she spent a year in London. Dreamy and very romantic, this English stay inspired her first novel.

In the afternoon, she will present her latest novel “Lyana – a special destiny” intended for an adult audience and will answer questions from people on the subjects covered in this work, in particular the way in which the French received the pieds-noirs in 1962.

Freewheeling discussions on how to write a novel, how to write a book, its circuit… Interested in romance, fantasy and stories, Hélène takes pleasure in making the reader dream, in taking them on a journey through time and various horizons.
