The leaks regarding the Samsung Galaxy S25 series are multiplying. The latest one, which comes from Ice Universe, has shed light on the battery capacities of all the upcoming flagship phones in the lineup. According to the leak, the new smartphones will not get an upgrade in this regard.
Specifically, the well-known tipster claims that all Galaxy S25 phones will have the same battery capacity as their predecessors. This means that the standard phone is estimated to have a capacity of 4,000mAh, the Plus is estimated to have a capacity of 4,900mAh, and the Ultra is estimated to have a capacity of 5,000mAh.
It’s worth noting that the same battery capacities don’t necessarily mean the same battery life. For example, the Galaxy S23 Ultra and S24 Ultra have the same rated capacities (256GB S24 Ultra currently $1,074.99 on Amazon). However, the latter can last longer after a full charge, which is mainly due to a more efficient SoC.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which will power the Galaxy S25 series, is expected to be more efficient than its predecessor. So, even though the new smartphones have the same battery capacity, the battery life should be better than the current generation should be better than the current lineup.
What’s rather interesting is that Ice Universe reports that Samsung has managed to fit batteries of the same capacity while reducing the overall thickness by 0.4mm across the entire lineup. The S25 Ultra would therefore be 8.2mm thick, making it thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro Max iPhone 16 Pro Max.
