Two degrees in economics, a particular attention to the world of fashion and aesthetic medicine, right-wing political acquaintances and varied entrepreneurial activities. The eclectic life of Mary Rosaria Boccia under the spotlight is effectively summarized in the photos of his Instagram profile, which after the explosion of the Sangiuliano case has over 32 thousand followers and is constantly growing.
The tall, blonde 41-year-old born in Pompeii still presents herself today, in her social media biography, as president of Fashion Week Milano Moda despite the warning from the Chamber of Fashion of the Lombardy capital to use that brand. Another recurring title is that of president of the scientific committee of the parliamentary intergroup ‘The culture of beauty’, an intergroup led by the FdI deputy Gerolamo ‘Gimmi’ Cangiano, who during the last Sanremo festival promoted the “festival of beauty” in the Ligurian city.
The Beginnings in the Clothing Trade
The mayor of Pompeii has known her and her family for years, Carmine LoSapio. Her parents run a men’s fashion boutique in the Vesuvian city, her brother Marco a wedding dress atelier. She too, as a young woman, embarked on the path of clothing sales, which however at a certain point began to feel too small for her. “Three years ago,” Lo Sapio recalls, “she came to the city with an association of dairy product entrepreneurs, during the city festival held in October, and donated these products to the participants who went to their stand. Last April, during the Beauty Festival that we organize in Pompeii, she brought university professors and doctors, promoting various screenings for certain diseases, all organized admirably.”
Double Degree in Economics
According to his Linkedin profile, Boccia has a double degree in Economics: one obtained in 2005 in Business Economics at Parthenope University, then a second in Economics and Management at Pegaso Telematic University. In his Instagram bio he introduces himself like this: «I would like to explain to you what it feels like to create emotions, but it’s impossible!».
Photos in the Chamber
Emotions aside, since 2023 the photos portraying her in the Chamber have multiplied. In May she participates – with the deputy Annarita Patriarch of Forza Italia – at the presentation of a motion requesting VAT exemption for cosmetic surgery and medicine treatments. In June at the presentation of a charity festival. Boccia commemorates Berlusconi on the day of his death (“He made the history of this country”), then in July he is again in the press room at the Chamber to talk about the Mediterranean diet and tumors. In August a photo with Minister Lollobrigida at an appointment at the Pompeii excavations, in December again at the Chamber with the head of Agriculture for the birth of another intergroup, “Mediterranean Diet: Nutrition, Prevention & Culture”, in which Boccia describes himself as ‘president of the organizing committee’. Then the aforementioned ‘Festival of Beauty’, in February of this year in Sanremo with Cangiano. Until the last few months, with the flurry of photos alongside Minister Sangiuliano.
