Swiatek, the 2022 women’s champion and the No. 1 seed this year, is scheduled to play the first match of the day in Arthur Ashe Stadium. She faces Kamilla Rakhimova. That match is scheduled to start at noon EDT and will be followed by Sinner’s match against Mackie McDonald. This is the first time Sinner has competed since word emerged that he had failed two drug tests in March but escaped suspension. The night session in Ashe on Day 2 begins at 7 p.m. EDT with Alcaraz in action, followed by No. 6 seed Jessica Pegula against Shelby Rogers.
