“Polizeiruf 110: Wasserwege”: Ex-Miss Sweden plays murderous policewoman

In “Polizeiruf 110: Wasserwege” from Brandenburg, a policewoman caused a stir at the finale. She is played by Petra van de Voort, a former Miss Sweden.

The drug smuggling crime thriller “Polizeiruf 110: Wasserwege” had a surprising twist at the very end: the water police officer Gunde Johannsen, with whom Inspector Rogov (Frank Leo Schröder) got along so well, pulled out her gun behind his back and shot a suspect. Presumably because he knew that Johannsen was involved in the crimes around the Eberswalde harbor. Johannsen claims self-defense, the case ends openly. Johannsen was portrayed by the Swedish actress Petra van de Voort. And she is no stranger.

A former Miss Sweden plays the killer policewoman

The 52-year-old was born as Petra Hultgren in Stockholm in 1972 and, according to Aftonbladet, was elected Miss Sweden in 1995 under this name. Van de Voort has already appeared in many crime films. For the first time in 2005 in the international production “Mankell’s Wallander: A Dead Man from Africa”. This was followed by guest roles in formats such as “The Inspector and the Sea”, “Tatort” and “Bella Block”. From 2014 to 2022 she played Nora Jessen, the wife of the main character, psychiatrist Dr., in the crime series “Neben der Spur”. Johannes “Joe” Jessen, played by Ulrich Noethen.

And another policewoman stands out in “Police Call 110: Waterways”. However, she is on the good side. Johanna Asch plays police officer Viola Reusch, who supports Commissioners Vincent Ross (André Kaczmarczyk) and Karl Rogov in the German-Polish police station. Born in Cologne, she studied acting at the HfS Ernst Busch in Berlin. And the remaining guest roles were also filled with familiar faces.

Dagmar Manzel is quitting – and these investigators aren’t there for much longer either

An actor was almost unrecognizable

Jana Julia Roth and Sophie Pfennigstorf played the sisters Lena and Isabelle Thiele. They were part of the crew of the barge and regularly picked up cargo in the Eberswalde harbor on the way from Berlin to Stettin. Roth was born in Chemnitz in 1990. Among other things, she has been playing police chief Dorit Martens in the crime series “The Usedom Crime” since 2019. Leipzig-born Sophie Pfennigstorf, who plays her sister Isabelle, who is in love with the murderous smuggler, is also a permanent member of the cast of a crime series. Since 2023 she has played one of the two main roles, Chief Detective Jule Zabek in “Stralsund” (since 2009).

A bearded Wanja Mues can also be seen in another leading role in the episode. As the professor’s shady brother, Peter Günschow, the Hamburg actor can only be recognized by his eyes. For ten years now he has been solving cases as private investigator Leo Oswald in the new edition of “One Case for Two” (since 2014, ZDF).
