A work eagerly awaited by film buffs and fans of Charles Aznavour. On October 23, they will finally be able to discover the blopic in theaters Mr Aznavour dedicated to the icon who died in 2018, and produced by Grand Corps Malade and Mehdi Idir. On screen, it was the actor Tahar Rahim who had the immense honor of being able to play him. For several weeks now, the happy father of four children has been on all fronts to ensure his promotion during the previews. And for the purposes of the feature film, Leïla Bekhti’s companion orchestrated a spectacular metamorphosis.

Tahar Rahim speaks without filter about his weight loss

Although filming was completed several months ago, Tahir Rahim continues to display a striking thinness. Invited to the TF1 news set this Sunday, October 13, 2024 alongside Grand Corps Malade, he was questioned about his impressive weight loss by Audrey Crespo-Mara. “Before we leave Tahar Rahim, let’s explain to the people who are looking at us how thin you are. We know your ability to transform yourself for roles, is that that again?“, the journalist then said to him.

Wanting to be reassuring, Tahir Rahim explained the surprising reason to him. “Indeed. Everything is going very well. I just have to lose a lot of weight for a role I’m currently working on. It’s necessary, once again, so I’m doing it“, he underlined in complete transparency. In September on the show Seven to Eight, the forty-year-old spoke at length about his role which “had almost cost (his) marriage“.

A role that impacted his lovely clan

“Your wife Leïla Bekhti confides this: ‘I can’t take it anymore. I hear Charles Aznavour yelling at my children at home, it’s getting annoying’“, had reported, not without humor, the wife of Thierry Ardisson. “C“is very funny, indeed yes, I spoke like him all the time, it was very funny”, confided the person before saying more about his family life which he jealously preserves. Particularly on his four children that he had with half.

“I think that’s also about protecting my children. Not subjecting them to a form of notoriety or something that is not natural (…)”, underlined Tahir Rahim, most seriously. “JI don’t want my children to think that they themselves have a privilege because of their parents’ profession. Never in life. On preserves our life, our relationship, our privacy.”
