With immediate effect, all buyers of the Deluxe and Ultimate editions will have access to the fighting title, which will officially be released on Friday „Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero“.

In keeping with this, we received the first reviews yesterday, Monday. Find out how the fighting title fared in international reviews here. Bandai Namco Games marked the start of early access with the release of the opening of “Dragon Ball: Sparking!” Zero”.

This shows well-known characters like Son Goku or Freeza in action and is intended to make you want more with the typical “Dragon Ball” action.

Early starters complain about the level of difficulty

While the basic feedback from players in the first few hours after the pre-launch is largely positive, one point from “Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero” for criticism. We’re talking about the level of difficulty in single-player mode, which, according to players, can always lead to unpleasant frustrations.

Here those affected highlight various struggles. This includes the confrontation with “Great Ape Vegeta”, which, according to users, raises the question of whether the level of difficulty was even adequately tested in the internal playtests.

The players’ conclusions about individual missions or fights in the single player mode range from “much too difficult” to “almost impossible”. For example, one of the frustrated users notes: “The Great Ape Vegeta can kindly piss off. I don’t understand how you can beat him on normal difficulty.”

Another added that he “simply gave up and ended Gohan’s story instead.” None of the fights “were anywhere near as difficult as the duel against the Great Ape Vegeta.”

Other battles that are highlighted negatively in this context are the clashes with the Ginyu Sonderkommando or Raditz.

The Budokai Tenkaichi series returns

Bandai Namco Games has not yet commented on player feedback regarding the difficulty level of the single player mode. It therefore remains to be seen whether the developers will improve this area with possible updates.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero” will be released on Friday, October 11, 2024 for the PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and marks the return of the popular “Budokai Tenkaichi” series.

To celebrate the start of early access, Bandai Namco Games presented the fighting title in detail in a showcase lasting more than three hours.
