After a year of disaster, SSC Napoli is back on track. Antonio Conte’s team consolidated the top of the table with a win on Friday evening.

Napoli defeated surprise team Como Calcio 3-1 on Friday evening. The home win against the promoted team led by coach Cesc Fabregas was hard work. The new additions became the match winners.
Napoli struck ice cold in the first minute. After an assist from Romelu Lukaku, Scott McTominay, who had penetrated the penalty area, hit the corner with a low shot. The Scottish midfielder, who arrived from Manchester United in the summer, was then celebrated. Como equalized before half-time.

After the break, Lukaku scored a penalty to give the Neapolitans a 2-1 lead. In the final phase, the Belgian rewarded himself for his performance with another assist: Joker David Neres stayed ice cold and then scored to make the final score 3-1. Napoli is in first place in the table with 16 points from seven games. Should the Scudetto season be repeated in 2022/23?
Verona celebrates home win
In the second evening game, Hellas Verona took their third win of the season. The Gialloblu beat Venezia 2-1 in a racy Veneto duel at the Bentegodi. The newcomer from the lagoon city remains in a relegation zone.
