Coca-Cola plans to close the Neumünster plant
The beverage manufacturer Coca-Cola wants to close its factory in Neumünster next year. According to Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, a total of five production and logistics locations are to be abandoned nationwide. The company is responsible for bottling, selling and distributing the US group’s drinks in Germany. 600,000 euros for a research project at Kiel University on the use of nitrogen fertilizers
Kiel University is leading a scientific project for the environmentally friendly and efficient use of nitrogen fertilizers. According to its own information, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture is funding the “Advent” joint project with around 1.3 million euros. The University of Kiel will receive almost 600,000 euros of this. The scientific coordinator Prof. Henning Kage from the University of Kiel sees fertilizer maps for crops such as winter rapeseed and winter wheat as possible research results. Research ship on the way to the NATO mission in the Mediterranean
On Tuesday morning, the research vessel “Planet” set off from the Eckernförde naval base for a NATO mission in the Aegean. According to the Navy, it will function as an operational platform. Never before in the history of the Navy has a research ship been the flagship of a NATO mission. This is necessary because the combat and support units are being challenged more than before by the changed global security situation. Kiel: Fire at Möbel Höffner
Because a fire was reported in Möbel Höffner’s bed warehouse in Kiel, a large contingent of emergency services was deployed on Monday evening. According to the Kiel professional fire brigade, the main station, the Ostwache and the Nordwache were on site with around 70 emergency services to extinguish the fire. Long traffic jam on B76 in Kiel: truck broke down
On Tuesday morning there was a long traffic jam on the B76 in Kiel. A car transporter had broken down on the road towards Eutin. The rescue work was complex, the police said. Because the truck was on the single-lane section, the road between Ostring and Wellsee had to be closed for more than two hours in the morning. Party conference of the CDU Schleswig-Holstein begins
The CDU Schleswig-Holstein met for a party conference in Neumünster on Tuesday. The focus was on the topics of agriculture and consumer protection. A key proposal addressed, among other things, reducing bureaucracy and easing the burden on farmers.
