Cole Palmer put in a historic performance in the home game against Brighton. The Chelsea playmaker scored all the goals for his team in the 4-2 win. The 22-year-old netted four times in 20 minutes (21st/28th/31st/41st). This makes the Englishman the first player in Premier League history (since 1992) to score four goals in the first half.
Manchester City had to give up points for the second time in a row. After the 2-2 draw against Arsenal a week ago, the champions couldn’t get past a 1-1 draw in Newcastle. Both Manuel Akanji (ManCity) and Fabian Schär (Newcastle) played through.
Arsenal benefited from the mistake, defeating Leicester 4-2 in front of their home crowd. The Gunners lost a 2-0 lead after 45 minutes. Leandro Trossard only redeemed himself in the fourth minute of added time with the 3-2 win; Kai Havertz went one better (90+9).
