The sailor of the Skipper Macif 2022 boat won the first stage in Gijon at the end of a slow-motion finale.

At the end of an incredible suspense, while the fleet was becalmed in calm about ten miles from Gijón, Loïs Berrehar (Skipper Macif 2002) finally crossed the line of the first leg of the Solitaire du Figaro Paprec between the Bay of Seine and Gijón in Spain this Thursday at 12:58 p.m., ahead of Basile Bourgnon (Edenred) by 61 seconds and Jules Ducelier (Normandy Region), the first rookie, by 95 seconds.

Often the leader of the main group placed in the middle of the water during the long descent into the Bay of Biscay, Loïs Berrehar, 31, won his first stage of a Solitaire in five participations on the final stretches, playing the game well to beat his competitors to the post. The gaps will be negligible at the start of the second stage.

Loïs Berrehar has achieved a notable success, although not decisive at the end of the first of the three stages of this Solitaire 2024, he who had ranked 3rd in the previous edition after winning the Transat Paprec double-handed in 2023. He confirms his status as favourite (along with a few others).
