A great way to end her Paralympic track career. At 19, Heidi Gaugain won the silver medal in the individual pursuit, C5 category, in a French-French final on Sunday, against Marie Patouillet. Accustomed to competing against able-bodied athletes, the Tricolore aims to be present at the Los Angeles Olympic Games and compete with the best.

The French para cycling track team definitely has a lot of talent: Alexandre Leauté, Dorian Foulon, Gatien Le Rousseau, Kevin Cunff… To which we must add Heidi Gaugain, 19 years old, and now Paralympic silver medalist in individual pursuit, category C5. She lost to her compatriot Marie Patouillet, who also collected a second medal, this one gold, in these Paralympic Games after the silver on Thursday.
