Damien Brunner is leaving the ice rinks with immediate effect. Injured, the Biel striker, limited to 6 games in 2024/25, believes that he is no longer fit. The 38-year-old from Zurich, trained in Kloten, made his professional debut with the Aviateurs in 2006/07. He then exploded in Zug, finishing as the top scorer in the regular season in 2011/12 with 60 points. Which also led him to the NHL, where he played 135 games (67 points) first with Detroit, then New Jersey. After this mixed stay across the Atlantic, he joined Lugano at the end of 2014. In Biel since 2018, he took part in 5 World Championships and the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi with the Swiss team.
