Will Christian Dvorak be back with the Canadian next season?
Obviously, it is a bit early to answer this question.
The Canadian will have to make a decision: we offer him a new contract, we exchange it by March 7 … or we let him leave via the market for autonomous players.
D-Vo mainly occupies the role of the third center player in the training of the Canadian, but we also know that Jake Evans has the qualities to be seated in this chair.
And in the context in which Evans is also looking for a new contract, it encourages Dany Dubé to think that the Canadian will have to choose between one of the two for the next few years.
He spoke about it last night on the 98.5 FM waves:
But for me, it will be played between him and Jake Evans. – Dany Dubé
In fact, there is a particular reason which explains why Dvorak can be seen as a player with a certain importance in Montreal.
He earns more than half of his playing (55.6 %) and Martin St-Louis trusts him when he needs possession of the washer.
This is why we sometimes see #28 being on the skating rink at the start of an extension.
-But at the same time, if the Canadian should really choose between Evans and Dvorak … I have the feeling that the decision would be quite easy to take.
Evans is a little less good in the circle of playing (51.7 %), but he plays on the first unit in digital disadvantage, he has a better differential than Dvorak, he has more goals, he has more passes, he has more points …
What I am trying to say is that the two guys have qualities that look alike (and they are each 28 years old), but Evans seems to be a more effective player at the moment.
And I am convinced that we think the same thing on the side of the organization!
Ultimately, D-VO could prove to be a spare solution if Evans does not return to town. But if Evans remains -which would be logical with what is said lately -it may be necessary to forget the name of Christian Dvorak in Montreal.
Burst
– Machine !
-Will the Canadian take advantage of it?
– Well done.
– It’s going to be a special evening!
