It was the scenario of a large -scale simulation in the field of the Grand Massif this Thursday.

A major civil security exercise was organized in the Grand-Massif ski area this Thursday, in the Carroz sector.

The whole rescue chain mobilized

The objective of this meeting was to test the entire rescue and mountain intervention chain in real conditions. The scenario included two avalanches. The first triggered at 9:30 am by two off-piste skiers with victims. Then a snow flow around 11am while the emergency services were already strongly mobilized on the first avalanche. The scenario was completed by a group of schoolchildren missing at the end of the morning.

The “Orsec help in the mountains” plan tested

The purpose of this exercise is to test the specific provisions of the Mountain Rescue Orsec Plan. It was also an opportunity to make the different actors work together.
