From February 1 to 8, 2025, the Dakhla peninsula, in Morocco, will host the 11th edition of the Raid Sahraouiya. This unique event combines sporting performance, surpassing oneself and solidarity commitment, with the aim of generating a lasting social and environmental impact.

100 women, from 10 countries, will take part in this extraordinary adventure. Among them, committed personalities such as the actress Ariane Brodier, the journalist Daniela Prepeliuc, the Olympian judoka Asmaa Niang and the mountaineer Nawal Sfendla. Divided into pairs, they will compete in various events such as mountain biking, trail running, canoeing or even abseiling, in a grandiose setting combining the dunes of the Sahara and the Dakhla lagoon.

Since its creation, the Raid Sahraouiya has established itself as an unmissable event, defending the values of sharing and kindness. Each participant supports an association of their choice, with prize money intended for the causes represented by the winning pairs. In 10 years, more than 140,000 euros have been donated to solidarity projects.

This year, SOS Children’s Villages Morocco is strengthening its partnership with the event. Part of the funds raised will be used to equip a sports center for the benefit of children without family support in Dakhla and young people from the local community.
