Is the Canadian in line so as not to recall (to take Owen Beck’s place) anyone for tomorrow’s match in Detroit?
We can assume that with the CH training this morning in Brossard before leaving for Michigan and with the Rocket playing this evening at home, a recalled player would have been in training with the big club and in the Canadian’s plane.
But this morning, there was no sign of a player recalled to Brossard.
We quickly thought that a guy from Laval was not at CH training (and it was confirmed) since normally, these guys arrive before the others on the ice. And this morning, that wasn’t the case.
We’ll see what that means, but we can think that Michael Pezzetta has a chance of playing tomorrow. Take it all with a grain of salt, though.
Note also that five players (Josh Anderson, Joel Armia, Kaiden Guhle, Patrik Laine and David Savard) were not at this first regular training in more than a week.
The five were entitled to one day of treatment. We don’t know what that means for tomorrow, but don’t expect all of these guys to miss tomorrow’s game, on the contrary.
If CH had been afraid of not seeing them play tomorrow, there would surely have been guys from Laval on the ice.
-A day of treatments is not abnormal, even if there are many today. But it must be said that yesterday’s match was tough for a few guys, including Savard and Guhle.
What we are saying, however, is that the guys’ state of health is perhaps part of the reasons why Nick Suzuki and Martin St-Louis canceled some training sessions recently.
It would be logical to think that, at least.
